Maltese Falcons Cycle for Cancer Awareness
The Great Cycle Challenge-a Cyclist, Biking Trail enthusiasts charitable event through September 30, 2020-to beat Kids Cancers.
Maryann Maltese, Chief of the Maltese Falcon's LI Chapter team, has been diligently riding to achieve at the Great Cycle Mile Challenge.
On the Eve of our Challenge; virtually or on terrain-we have 2o more miles to complete, said Maryann. I invite young and old to ride along with me or log in your hours here or on the Maltese Falcon Riders Great Cycle Mile Challenge page. What your favorite mask (Halloween oriented) or fun item showing off your unique style-IE Tye Dye, etc and social distancing measures adhered.
The Great Cycle Challenge-Riding to Fight Kids Cancer (Greatcyclechallenge.com) is a Not-for Profit organization using aspects of a fitness cycle challenge encouraging Pro-health enthusiasts by supporting the fight against pediatric cancers and the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Biker and Cyclists must reach 150 miles by September 30, 2020.

The Maltese Falcons Team kicked off the spirit of the Great Cycle Challenge on September 1, 2020; cruising in style virtually and in the community to spread awareness and get our message across-that we're in it for kids and encouraging those inflicted to get on their bikes and kick the ____ (please implement your favorite adjective or action word) out of pediatric cancers.
Maryann has the following outdoor scheduled to offer riding with her-weather permitting and dress accordingly.

10am- Asharoken Beach Parking lot
3:40pm Veterans Park-off Bellerose Ave Meet at the Trail Entrance
4:30pm- Edgewood Oak Brush Bike Trails, Meet at the Commack Road Main entrance.
5:45pm- Belmont Lake Stakes Park (Deer Park-North Babylon entrance-meet at Playground)
Maryann has cycled around the district; seen at Veterans Park-Huntington, Edgewood Oak Brush, Belmont State Lakes, Meadow Lark, Hobart Beach, Asharoken Beach spindling the wheels of her Mountain Bike.
:) "I'm glad my bike continues to work, we have cycled through tough terrains, element and sunshine moments; what a way to see neighbors and friends, said Maltese". It's not too late to join the Maltese-Falcon Cycle Crew and log in your hours to support kids in the district. Our team-we're promoting the importance of one's fitness by raising awareness on the importance of remaining active while treating or in remission. The medical community acknowledges the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to put cancer into it's place-no where in sight presently or going forward-spindling/riding each mile ahead. Cycling is such a great way to improve one's mindset-and to assist a Charitable foundation's purpose at the same time.
Maryann has participated with several cancer prevention organizations; including the American Cancer Society-Maryann has dedicated time charitably and legislatively to those inflicted with Cancers from Pediatric to Women's Healthcare needs. Most notable piece of Anti-cancer and Pro-active healthcare treatments Legislation enacted-NYS Lymphodema Awareness Law-improving the state of cancer treatment for those actively treating and/or inflicted with Breast Cancer.
