Man Charged in Shootings of Cars, Houses in Deer Park

The 25-year-old man was arrested Monday night for incidents earlier this month, police say.

DEER PARK, NY - A 25-year-old Deer Park man has been charged with shooting three cars and three houses in Deer Park earlier this month.

Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, it was determined Cameron Cincotta fired a .45-caliber handgun at an occupied home on Fairview Avenue, two occupied homes on Oakland Avenue, and unoccupied vehicles parked on Fairview Avenue, West 20th Street and West 16th Street in the early morning hours of March 19.

The gun used in these incidents has been recovered, police said.

Cincotta, of 306 West 14th St., was arrested Monday night charged with three counts of fourth degree criminal mischief and three counts of first degree reckless endangerment.
