
A man tried to rob an East Farmingdale bank Tuesday afternoon, but left empty-handed, police said.
According to police, the man entered Chase, located at 1745 Broad Hollow Road, at 12:54 p.m., approached a teller and demanded cash.
The teller did not comply and the man fled on foot east through the parking lot, police said.

The man was described as white, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 approximately 30 to 40 years-old with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with jeans.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
