Marion G. Vedder Honors Local Veterans
Veterans in the North Babylon community were honored for their selfless service to the country at a flag-raising ceremony.
From North Babylon School District: As part of an annual Marion G. Vedder Elementary School Veterans Day tradition, veterans in the North Babylon community were honored for their selfless service to the country at a flag-raising ceremony.
Following remarkable renditions of TAPS and the national anthem by North Babylon High School seniors Joseph Kolk and Christina Cotignola, respectively, the elementary school students serenaded the veterans by singing “God Bless America.” The ceremony was a patriotic way for the school community to honor local heroes for all they have sacrificed.
