Mentorship Magnificence In North Babylon

The program is designed to pair mentors and mentees and give them the opportunity to participate in activities that promote self-esteem.

From N. Babylon Schools: As part of the North Babylon School’s District’s ongoing collaboration with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island organization, students at Parliament Place Elementary School and North Babylon High School met for their final one-to- one mentoring session on May 31.

The program, in its second year, is designed to pair mentors and mentees and give them the opportunity to participate in activities that promote themes such as respect, future goals, self-esteem and responsibility. Under the direction of Parliament Place’s program moderator Tracy Jacquemain and BBBSLI case worker Alana Famiglietti, students met every Thursday afternoon of the school year to develop their relationships and support systems.
