Police ID Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Deer Park Crash

A 23-year-old man was seriously hurt in the crash Sunday night, police say. Two others were also injured.

DEER PARK, NY – Three people were hurt in a Deer Park crash involving a motorcycle Sunday evening. According to Suffolk Police, a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed at the intersection of Deer Park Avenue and Grand Boulevard at about 6:50 p.m.

According to police, 23-year-old Jessie Palacios, of Deer Park, was riding a motorcycle east on Grand Boulevard when he attempted to turn right onto Deer Park Avenue and struck a Toyota Camry that was making a U-turn from northbound to southbound on Deer Park Avenue.

Palacios was transported with serious injuries to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. The driver of the Toyota, Carlos Polo, 56, of North Babylon, and his passenger were also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
