Promotion for N. Babylon Guardsman

A North Babylon resident received a promotion from the Army National Guard last week.

Thomas Woods, a North Babylon resident serving with the Operations Company, 42nd Infantry Division, was promoted to the rank of Major by Major General Patrick A. Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York.

Maj. Woods was promoted to his new rank on January 11. 

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
