A 33-year-old North Babylon man was shot as he stood outside a Wyandanch home on Sunday afternoon, police said.
David Moore was standing outside of 70 South 26th St. when he was shot in the abdomen and leg at about 4:25 p.m. Moore was transported by Wyandanch/Wheatley Heights Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
