New York State Equality of Earnings For Women-State of State

As new the Legislature takes their first steps in listening too the Governor discuss the State Budget for New York State in 2021-where do women fair in their plight for Earnings Equality in State Code? It's 101 years since Women received their Right to Vote and along that journey-NYS has yet to ensure that Women who have been and are State Employees or Professionals within the 3 Branches of State Government have Earnings Equality. Without providing Women Public Officers-those of us who hold Employment Positions within the State Legislature (Non-Legislator Positions) with implementation aspects of "Corrective Earnings" for NYS's Hand in discriminating against Women Employees with their Employment Contracts-then Women who are Employed in the Private Sector's in NYS also do not have Earnings Equality within their Employment Contracts.

In the 2014-2017 NYS State Budgets-Governor Andrew Cuomo-Acknowledged NYS's Fault as the Employer-but issuance compliance of corrective earnings for prior employment contracts has not been legislated or Executive Ordered to "stamp" to "Enact" the Civil torts required for these Women. Maryann Maltese is one of these Women-who was discriminated against by NYS Legislature as her Employer in providing discriminatory based Employment Contacts without including Earnings Equality wages that Male Employees received for the "same equal duty to NYS". Maryann's service years between 1994-2013; Employment Contracts must be reviewed and because NYS Legislature acknowledged their Fault as an Employer; the "at Will" protections for an Employer is not applicable here. Maryann received Employment Contracts which offered-rendered earnings that were 50-60% less than the earnings of Male's within the Legislature. Her roles and duties requires corrective back earnings to be issued. NYS as the Employer must adhere-there is no option for NYS Legislature and in 2018-the Federal Government also acknowledged (as they too are an At-Will Employer) their own fault in issuance of Employment Contracts.

Maryann Maltese placed her former Employer on notice-as she is in inactive employment status and can rematriculate into the 3 Branches of Government at any time; but as NYS has decided not to reenstate for whatever the reasons-is not acceptable cause for non-corrective earnings issuance for "prior" work performances provided. Maryann Maltese holds the Management Voter Approval Rating amongst her Male Peers for the Highest Turnout Ever achieved in NYS Legislature at Large-that includes every single Assembly or Senate District in NYS! Evidence has been provided to peers within the NYS Legislature and either Corrective earnings by Executive Order needs to be issued immediately; and/or Legislative Bill introduced as Unified Bill and Passage of both Houses with the Governor's signature or override of his Executive Power by 2/3 vote.

As 2020 was the 100th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote-the corrective issuance should have transpired last year-but now that it's the beginning of a new Legislative Year for NYS-legislation must transpired to clear NYS of any wrong doing in Employment Practices. Join me today in encouraging the Governor of NYS-Andrew Cuomo to include Women's actual earnings corrective issuance legislation in his State of State Speech with "direct" correlation to whom is entitled to issuance aspects-then Women in the Public and Private Sectors have long over-due Equality. It's now 101 years later; Women are in the Workforce full time and employers; including State Government must do their part in ensuring that Employment Contracts issued to Women meet Earning Standards of Equality for Work and duty provided to NYS.
