North Babylon Appoints New Director Of Physical Education

From N. Babylon Schools: North Babylon School District is pleased to welcome Jason Friesen as the new director of physical education, health, recreation and athletics.

Friesen comes to the district after serving as director of physical education, health and athletics for the Mohonasen Central School District, located in Schenectady, New York. He brings more than 18 years of experience in education and coaching to the district.

In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Friesen also holds a master’s degree in physical education from Columbia University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Long Island University. He also holds several certifications, including School Building Leadership and School District Leadership, a permanent teaching certification in physical education, and a permanent license in high school and junior high school physical education for New York City. His new position with North Babylon will begin on Aug. 20.
