North Babylon Boy Scout Troop 399's Indian Island County Park Wee

North Babylon Boy Scout Troop 399's Indian Island County Park Weekend

North Babylon's Boy Scout Troop 399 enjoyed an adventurous camping weekend on October 13-15 at Indian Island County Park located in Riverhead, NY. Indian Island County Park is a 275 acre park located at the estuarine mouth of the Peconic River.

The scouts got to camp the great outdoors, explored the beach , went fishing and took in nature. Scouts learned cooking skills on this trip and cooked their lunches and dinner in a Dutch oven. They even made delicious cinnamon rolls for dessert. The rain did not dampen the spirit of these adventurous scouts! It was a wonderful trip especially for our newest scouts.

Boy Scout Troop 399 meetings are held each Thursday evening that schools are open at 7:30pm in the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School cafeteria.
