Each year the association’s Suffolk Zone Chapter honors two seniors from local high schools who exemplify outstanding achievement in physical education. The North Babylon High School Physical Education Department selected Samantha and Anthony based on their leadership abilities and outstanding character, according to Director of Physical Education,
Health Education, Recreation and Athletics Jason Friesen.

Samantha is a member of the school’s varsity basketball and soccer teams and a New York State Scholar Athlete. “She displays outstanding character in school, on the field or court and especially in physical education class,” Mr. Friesen said.
