North Babylon School Budget Vote, Trustee Election Results Are In

North Babylon residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

North Babylon residents gave the green light to a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $114.75 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,243-484. The budget is a 2.39 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 0.29 percent hike in the school tax levy.

Incumbent Heather Rowland ran unopposed for a seat on the North Babylon Board of Education. Challenger Daniel Caroleo defeated incumbent Geri-Ann McNamee for the other open seat.
