North Babylon elementary level students once again participated in the Parents, Educators and Kids, or PEAK, Music Festival, on Oct. 24. Although this year, the celebration of elementary classroom music was held virtually, it did not disappoint.

Select fourth graders were invited to attend four virtual sessions to work alongside expert clinicians, including Craig Knapp from the Metropolitan Youth Chorus program.

This year, a total of 15 North Babylon students, from William E. Deluca, Woods Road and Marion G Vedder elementary schools, were nominated by participating teachers, Shannon Green and Carolyn Mistretta.

The festival, conducted by the Suffolk County Music Educators Association, encouraged students to use common household items, such as paper plates, empty cardboard boxes, pots and wooden spoons to create music from their living rooms.

Congratulations to fourth graders, Alexa Asner, Landon Banville, Abigail Dahill, Adriana DePrima, Gabriella Farber, Layla Jackson, Serenity Khan, Charles Pennington, Mia Petrizzo, Tristan Rivera, Kayla Rosario, Nicolo Russo, Sean Solliday, Christopher Trent Seeger and Joseph Williams.
