North Babylon Schools Give Back For The Holidays
School community does its part to help those in need.
In the spirit of the holiday season, students and staff in the North Babylon School District are doing their part to give back to the community.
At Marion G. Vedder Elementary School, a mitten tree, on which winter accessories are hanging and will be donated, has been set up in the main office. The school also hosted Share a Story Night, during which teachers read to students and helped collect new toys for Good Samaritan Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
At Parliament Place Elementary School, students and staff have contributed hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to hang from a giving tree.

The students at William E. DeLuca Elementary School formed a food chain and filled the pantry at St. Paul’s Church.
These efforts are highlighting the holiday season as the perfect time to give back for worthy causes and teaching students about the importance of charitable endeavors.
