North Babylon Students Learn About Human Rights

Parliament Place students complete study about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Fifth-graders at North Babylon’s Parliament Place Elementary School recently completed their 12-week study about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Each week, students reviewed and discussed the different components of the document and were able to apply what they learned to current national events.

They also participated in several debates about human rights infractions. After reading “Teaching Naples to Read, Write, and Vote”, they all decided to help raise money to support education in other countries.
