Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Driver Impaired By Alcohol: SCPD
The driver was charged with DWAI by alcohol following the crash on Friday night, police say.

NORTH BABYLON, NY - A North Babylon man was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol after striking and killing a pedestrian in North Babylon on Friday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Eddy St. Louis, 41, was driving a 2015 Mercedes Benz southbound on Deer Park Avenue when he struck a pedestrian, 46-year-old Anthony Cappa, of North Babylon at 8:25 p.m., police said.
Cappa was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.

St. Louis was not injured. He was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, police said.
He is being held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 22.
