Person Found Dead After Wyandanch House Fire: Police
Police responded to a residence on Irving Street early Saturday morning.
A person was found dead after a house fire in Wyandanch Saturday morning, police said.
Police responded to the residence in the 100 block of Irving Avenue around 2 a.m. for the report of a fire. Members of the Wyandanch Fire Department extinguished the fire and the body of a person was found inside.
The body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the identity and cause of death.

While the investigation continues, police said preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal.
