Pink At Parliament
The school raised more than $500 as a result of its fundraising efforts in support of the cause.
From North Babylon School District: As part of its recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Parliament Place Elementary School in the North Babylon School District designated Oct. 18 as Pink and Denim Day.
Students and staff were encouraged to show their support for the cause by wearing jeans with prominent displays of pink, the color synonymous with breast cancer awareness. The school raised more than $500 as a result of its fundraising efforts in support of the cause.
