Police: Deer Park Gas Station Robbed at Knifepoint
Seventh gas station robbery in Deer Park-North Babylon in the past month.

A man armed with a knife robbed a Deer Park gas station on Sunday night, police said.
The incident occurred at the Citgo station at 41 Suburban Avenue, at the intersection of Commack Road, at 8:30 p.m.
The robber fled the scene with cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

There have now been seven gas station robberies in the area–six in Deer Park and one in North Babylon–in just over a month.
A community meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Deer Park Library to discuss concerns over recent crime in the area. A representative from the Suffolk County Police Department’s 1st Precinct will be on hand.
