Police Release Photos of Man Wanted in Deer Park Bank Robbery

The same man is wanted for robbing a bank in East Farmingdale a day later, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who robbed banks in Deer Park and East Farmingdale this week.

On Monday, the TD Bank located at 2178 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park was robbed by a man who detectives believe also robbed the Bethpage Federal Credit Union located at 1033 Route 109 in East Farmingdale on Tuesday.

In both instances, the robber handed a teller a note demanding cash and the tellers complied with the man’s demands. The robber fled the banks on foot.

The robber is described as black, approximately 6-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing hooded-sweatshirts, sunglasses and sweatpants.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information regarding the robberies is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
