Celebrating the spirit of autumn, Deer Park’s John Quincy Adams Primary School held its annual pumpkin patch on Oct. 28, to the delight of students and staff alike.
Children in each class at every grade level were given the chance to venture out to the front lawn where they selected their own pumpkins to decorate and bring home. The event was sponsored by the school’s Parent Faculty Club.
“JQA’s students enjoyed a beautiful day of pumpkin picking thanks to our PFC, just one example of the wonderful events they provide our school,” said Principal Christine Criscione. “We also thank all of the volunteers who came out early in the morning to unload hundreds of pumpkins.”
