Red Cross Shelter Opens at North Babylon HS

A pets-only shelter is also available tonight at the North Babylon Fire Department.

A Red Cross shelter is opening Wednesday evening at the North Babylon High School.

On Tuesday, Suffolk County combined all Red Cross shelters into one at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, but due to the nor'easter, a facility at the high school, located at 1 Phelps Lane in North Babylon, has been opened.

A pet shelter is also open tonight at the North Babylon Fire Department, located at 20 Hale Road, North Babylon. This is a pets-only shelter. Owners should bring a crate and food for their pets.
