Rick Schafer, Babylon Town Supervisor, and a PAID Chairperson of Suffolk County Democrats contributed $1,000 of Suffolk County Democrats Membership monies to Governor Andrew Cuomo. Andrew Cuomo has $18 million dollars in his Governor's Election Campaign account for the upcoming 2022 Election Season. The Suffolk County Chairman has an Obligation to ask Members whether or not to make campaign contributions to Statewide Candidates. "A better utilization of $1,000 would be to issue Food Vouchers or Gift Cards to individuals in need", said Maryann Maltese, a Candidate for NYS Legislature 2022!

Rick Schaefer, has 3 Salaried Careers and can not dig into his own pocket to make a political campaign contribution Himself? , said Maryann Maltese. Schafer within 2 of his Employment endeavors earns over $300,000 a year alone, said Maryann Maltese. I find it highly offensive as a Democrat that Rick Schaefer on July 9, 2021, decided himself to donate Club Member resources to Cuomo who obviously is not in need of Campaign Funding-instead of utilizing that $1,000 to issue to Families in Need in the Community. The Campaign Contribution is noted on Andrew Cuomo's Political Campaign Disclosure Forms by NYS Board of Elections. It's a additional poorly managed decision by Rick Schaefer, said Maryann Maltese.
Being that Schaefer is the Town Supervisor of Babylon-has he taken the time to walk down Deer Park Avenue to see the number of Small Business closures in the area-especially those Small Businesses in the Beauty Industry. It's these individuals-these small neighborhood residents that need assistance-Not Andrew Cuomo. It's shameful the level of Arrogance by some Chairs, and Elected's. Rick Schaefer's Town employment is by Election. I truly hope the residents of Babylon take notice of several Poor Judgement Decision making's Schaefer has made within his Professional Management.

On February 16, 2020; Rick Schaefer made the Executive Chairman Decision to invite me to a Nomination Meeting as a Selected Candidate for Statewide Offices in 2020-but then Proceeded to NOT INTRODUCE ME AS A CANDIDATE FOR STATE OFFICES. This decision is a violation of Robert Rules of Order and under investigation. A Chairperson has never not Introduced candidates who take time from their Lives to disrespect them inside a Club Meeting; it's offensive, it's discriminatory oriented and a Poor reflection of a Person many seem to believe Holds Democratic Ideals highly, said Maryann Maltese.
