Road Repairs for Belmont Lake State Park
Governor Andrew Cuomo announces $500,000 will be used to restore the LI landmark.
Deteriorated roads in North Babylon's are getting a makeover thanks to a $34 million investment project aimed at creating jobs and rehabilitating New York landmarks, Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently announced.
The project falls under the New York Works Fund, which will allocate money to upgrade and repair seven parks on Long Island. Belmont Lake State Park will receive $500,000 of the share to restore heavily used and cracked roads.
Sen. Owen Johnson called the park one of Long Island’s “great gems” and said he is thrilled at the investment.
