Robert Frost Middle Celebrates Student Cultures on Heritage Night
A night to celebrate culture, heritage and community in Deer Park.
The months of September through November mark national celebrations for Hispanic, Italian and French heritage, including Hispanic Heritage Month, National Italian American Heritage Month and National French Week.
World language students and teachers at Deer Park's Robert Frost Middle School honored these designations at the school’s recent annual Heritage Night.
More than 100 sixth- through eighth-grade Robert Frost students studying world languages and English as a second language participated in Heritage Night, many of them volunteering their time and effort to help prepare the event. All of the students had the opportunity to sample dishes and desserts of various cultures while listening to a DJ play music from the different countries they have been learning about in their world language classes.
