Students Send Message Through Silent March

Parliament Place students participated in the march in honor of Human Rights Day.

DEER PARK-NORTH BABYLON, NY - From North Babylon School District: Fifth-grade students at Parliament Place Elementary School of the North Babylon School District participated in a Silent March on Dec. 14 to pay homage to Human Rights Day.

Although students marched in silence, they relayed a powerful message by wearing T-shirts that highlighted the significance of the day and held up signs that listed an individual’s human rights. This march completes the students’ unit on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
