WESTFIELD SOUTH SHORE AND BRIGHT PINK® PARTNER FOR THE THIRD YEAR TO HOST THE 2015 VIPINK PRE-MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION

Bay Shore, NY - April 17, 2015 - Westfield South Shore invites families across Long Island to join in its pre-Mother’s Day VIPink Day to benefit Bright Pink®, a national non-profit organization that supports breast and ovarian health in young women. On Saturday, May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the Westfield South Shore mall will host a Mommy and Me Princess Day, filled with fun activities for mothers and their daughters, including mini-makeovers and princess meet-and-greets.

“Westfield South Shore is thrilled to announce its line-up for this year’s VIPink Day. We are looking forward to a fun day filled with family-friendly activities for the Long Island community to enjoy,” said Westfield South Shore Marketing Director Vanessa Mitton. “We are also delighted to raise money for our non-profit partner Bright Pink® and assist them in their efforts to educate and inspire women in the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer.”

The VIPink Mommy and Me Princess Day will begin with The Enchanted Castle, a 30-minute puppet show featuring Princess Crystal and Fairy Godmother Glitter. Following the show, Princess Crystal and Fairy Godmother Glitter will be available for meet-and-greets as well as photo opportunities. The day will also include arts & crafts and face painting for children, and discounts at participating Westfield South Shore retailers and mini-makeover sessions for Moms provided by Paul Mitchell Salon.

Tickets for Westfield South Shore’s VIPink Mommy and Me Princess Day are $5 per adult and child and are available to purchase online. The fee will cover the puppet show, meet-and-greets and photos, and the Mom mini-makeovers. Children of age one-year-old and up are required to have a ticket. In addition to the events and activities, every $5 ticket purchased provides an entry into Westfield South Shore’s local sweepstakes to win a Westfield shopping spree, Michael Kors handbag, a gift card to The Cheesecake Factory, as well as an entry into Westfield’s national sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to London. All proceeds will benefit Bright Pink® in its mission to reach women across the U.S. about their breast and ovarian health programs.
