The first of 3 classes in the DITMAS Bookmaking Workshop Series (the second is on July 27th and the last on August 3rd). The bookmaking series will be held at the Brooklyn Public Library-Cortelyou Branch. We encourage you to register in advance. You can also use this link to register for photography and dance workshops. Workshops are open to adults and children over the age of 12.
Bookmaking will be taught by Woody Leslie, an artist, bookmaker, cartoonist, and musician originally from Vermont, but now living in Brooklyn. He is the founder One Page Productions, an artist book printing press specializing in tiny books made from one sheet of paper. Woody has printed a wide range of titles through 1Pp and self-published a multitude of handbound artist books, writings, comic books, and more.
