Barbra Streisand May Perform at Barclays Center
The iconic singer is rumored to be scheduled for shows at the new arena in the fall, her first major New York City performances since 2006.
Rumor has it that Brooklyn’s own Barbra Streisand will be returning to the borough in October to perform at the Barclays Center, according to Atlantic Yards Report.
Though arena officials have not publicly confirmed the concerts, Atlantic Yards Report says that details were posted on ESPN.com and Simply-Showbiz.com, with hints dropped by Borough President Marty Markowitz and Councilmember Letitia James (the latter allegedly mentioning offhand that Streisand “has a couple of days" at the arena).
Streisand’s last performance in New York City was a special show for fans and VIPs at the intimate jazz club Village Vanguard, back in September 2009. Previously, she performed sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden in 2006.
