Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) is celebrating its 38th Awards Benefit. This year’s festivities will be held in honor of the recently departed Paul Goldman, a special friend to FDC and a tremendous force in his community. We hope you will save the date and join us for this celebratory event on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Gargiulo’s Restaurant in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The evening promises to be a fun-filled party, offering a silent auction, open bar, cocktail hour and sit-down dinner.
FDC traditionally honors people who have made outstanding contributions to the Flatbush community. Along with neighborhood association and business honorees, this year, FDC’s 38th Community Leadership Award recipient will be Dr. John Marshall, head Emergency Room doctor at Maimonides Hospital. His dedication to the health and wellbeing of his community has been extraordinary. Additionally, we are proud to announce the “Unsung Hero” Award in memorial of one of Flatbush’s most inspiring members, Jack Katz. The award this year will go to The 70th Precinct Community Affairs Team.
Besides joining us for the festivities, please also consider placing an advertisement for FDC’s souvenir benefit journal featuring your business or congratulating an award winner. To place an order, please call 859-3800, ext. 209 or email annualdinner@fdconline.org. The deadline for orders is April 3, 2013.
