February is Heart Health Month. You can learn about risks associated with heart failure at a free lecture – “What is Heart Failure? Are You at Risk?" – Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
The lecture takes place in the Health Science Education Building, Classroom 1B, 395 Lenox Road, Brooklyn, New York 11203. The speakers are Judith Mitchell, MD, associate professor of medicine, and Locquessa Okpala, NP, of the Heart Failure Clinic at SUNY Downstate.
The lecture is open to the general public and is an activity of the Downstate Healthy Heart Club, an education and support group for those who have had heart disease or heart surgery. For more information call 718-270-2133.
