FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Flatbush Democrats elected Farah Louis to represent them in City Council ... again.

Louis won her second battle for District 45 in less than a month when more than 4,000 voters picked her in Tuesday's Democratic primary, Board of Election results show.

NY1 called the race for Louis at about 9:45 p.m. when 85 percent of the results had come in and Louis had claimed almost 53 percent.

This victory means that Louis is very likely to claim in 2020 the seat Public Advocate Jumaane Williams left vacant as she probably will run unopposed in November.

Louis was first named acting City Council member in May when she won a special election against Williams' pick and former outreach director, Monique Chandler-Waterman. Chandler-Waterman was outreach director for Williams' City Council office and the candidate he endorsed to replace him.
