SUNY Downstate Medical Center will provide free prostate screenings the week of September 16, 2013 at three locations in Brooklyn.
Men who are at high risk, such as men with a family history of prostate cancer, are advised to start screening between the ages of 40 – 54 years. For men at low risk, screening will be available for men ages 55 – 69.
SUNY Downstate’s Family Health Services at 840 Lefferts Avenue will provide screenings on Monday, September 16 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Call 718-493-0300 or 718-270-8846 for more information.
Downstate’s University Hospital of Brooklyn at 470 Clarkson Avenue in East Flatbush will provide screenings in Suite I (Eye) on Tuesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 19 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Call 718-270-8846 or 718-270-3739 for more information.
SUNY Downstate at Bay Ridge will provide screenings Monday, September 16, through Saturday, September 21, from 10 am to 8:00 pm. The address is 9036 Seventh Avenue, at 92nd Street. For more information about screenings at this location, call 718-567-1400 or 718-270-3739.
