Man Shot Dead In Flatbush Street, Police Say

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN -- A Brooklyn man was fatally shot in the head Sunday night, police said.

Police found the 43-year-old man, with gunshot wounds in his head and chest, lying in the street near East 49th Street and Avenue D at about 11:10 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Brookdale Hospital where he later died, police said.

Police had not released the man's name or announced an arrest as of Monday morning.
