'Oxy' Bandit Sentenced For Brooklyn Pharmacy Hold-Ups: Feds

Gregory St. Juste faces more than eight years in jail for stealing pain pills from four Brooklyn pharmacies at gunpoint, said prosecutors.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A robber who stole opioids at gunpoint from four Brooklyn pharmacies was sentenced to 100 months in jail Thursday, according to federal prosecutors.

Gregory St. Juste, 21, was sentenced after he and three accomplices pleaded guilty to stealing at least $4,000 in pain medication during a month-long heist from August to September 2016, the Brooklyn U. S. Attorney's office said Thursday.

The spree began on Aug. 16 when two gunmen burst into the Mill Basin Pharmacy on Avenue T, terrified a pregnant employee who cowered in the corner, and stole $4,000 in pain pills and merchandise, prosecutors said.

St. Juste and three others next robbed the Mill Park Pharmacy on Avenue U on Sept. 26, when St. Juste pulled out a gun and told a clerk he would be shot if he didn’t hand over “oxy,” prosecutors said.

The four men grabbed cash, cigarettes and other merchandise into a backpack and fled in their getaway car, which was quickly recognized by local police, prosecutors said.

Police officers arrested the four men when they found a loaded .45 caliber pistol and the stolen goods, prosecutors said.

St. Juste pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act robbery on Feb. 16 and on Thursday was sentenced to eight years and four months in prison, prosecutors said.

His accomplices, Wensley Paul, 25, Max Narcisse, Jr., 25, and Jeff Roselien, 31, pleaded guilty to robbery charges in 2017, said prosecutors.

Paul was sentenced to nine years in August and the other two men are awaiting sentence, prosecutors said.
