Cops released a sketch of the man who called his victim "Black bitch" one day after electeds chastised them for not already having done so.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Police released a sketch of the man who called his victim a "black bitch" before stabbing her in the back.
The image was sent out one day after politicians rallied at the scene of the crime to question why no progress had been made, the suspect allowed to escape and the woman he attacked forced to walk home with a punctured lung.
The sketch came five days after Anne Marie Washington, 57, was stabbed in the back inside the Church Avenue station at about 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9, police said.

The man hurled racial and gendered slurs at the woman, punched her in the mouth, stabbed her in the back and fought of another woman who tried to stop him, officials said in a press conference Monday.
The suspect, whom police describe simply as a man in his 30s, then hopped on a southbound Q train and left the station.

Washington was interviewed by police and examined by emergency responders, then allowed to walk home, family said. She only realized she'd been stabbed when she woke up the next morning and found blood on her sheets.
Washington is now being treated for a punctured lung at an area hospital, according to her children.
The NYPD Hate Crime Taskforce is investigating the crime as an assault despite Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams' demand that he be charged with attempted homicide.
