Sunshine Days

The sunny days may be getting hotter, but Alden LaPaglia of ALDEN MOVES Dance Theater is back at Cortelyou Rd Library with a grooving surfin safari to keep the kiddies moving. On Tuesday, Aug 13th, sunshine boys

and girls ages 3-9 will splish splash through a cool summer playlist

including Bob Marley, the Beach Boys and the Beatles. As in all dance

programs, Sunshine Days incorporates infectious music and fanciful

explorations of rhythm, movement quality, and space. The culminating

exhibition dance for this program? A soulful take on summer that will

really take you back!

Space is limited so advanced registration is required for

both the 3-4 year old and 5-6 year old classes: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/430717. Should the event sell

out, contact aldenmoves@gmail.com

to be placed on the waiting list. (Note: No itsy bitsy teeny weeny

yellow polka dot bikini required, just comfortable clothes and socks.)

We look forward to seeing you there!

Brooklyn-based dancer/singer/actress/choreographer Alden

LaPaglia is the director of ALDEN MOVES Dance Theater. She's toured

nationally in Bye Bye Birdie and presents her choreography in and around

NYC. Teaching kids for the last 10 years has kept her young and

creative! She's developed dance parties and play groups to foster

children's natural love of music and movement and ignite the kind of

excitement that lasts a lifetime.
