Website to Share Your Stuff

There is a new stuff sharing website called NeighborGoods in Ditmas Park, where you can find and list items to share.

You know how you have that lawn mower in the garage that you almost never use, but you need it because you do use it occasionally. Well, rather than giving it away or letting it just collect dust, you can share it, along with whatever other items you almost never use, but are pretty much taking up space in your home. The other side of this coin is you may want to use let’s say a ladder, but you don’t really want to go out and purchase one if it will be an item that you will very rarely use. Back in the day we use to call around to our neighbors and a ladder would make it’s way to our home, and Alan P. Berger the Exec. Director of www.NeighborGoods.net has put together just that neighborhood virtually, on the aforementioned website, with neighbors like yourself that have listed all manner of items for you to borrow free of charge. All you have to do is register to borrow or post something you would like to share. The beauty of this is that we reduce the redundant process of purchasing items we rarely use, and we get to help a neighbor out.

The way it works is that you register and once a neighbor decides to borrow your item, you will receive an e-mail communicating with you, you then decide when and where you would like to have them pick the item up.
