• Car slams into Dix Hills home, ignites blaze; Residents pull driver to safety (news12.com) — Residents on Deforest Road North in Dix Hills pulled a driver to safety after his car left the Northern State Parkway, slammed into their multifamily home, and burst into flames early Monday. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but a Dix Hills Fire Department spokesperson said the house suffered extensive damage while the driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. 
• 3 Injured In Dix Hills Crash Involving Motorcyclist: Police (patch.com) — Three people were hurt when two vehicles collided at Deer Park Avenue and Kenmore Street in Dix Hills Saturday afternoon, sending one car into a motorcyclist and briefly closing the intersection. All injuries were described as non-life-threatening or minor, but the crash disrupted traffic and drew a response from Suffolk County police and local hospitals.
