ā¢ Duanesburg fire companies balk at unknown contract reporting changes (dailygazette.com) ā Duanesburgās volunteer fire companies are pushing back on a proposed contract change that would switch their town funding and reporting from annual to quarterly, saying it adds paperwork and complicates big purchases. Town Supervisor William Wenzel argues the shift, modeled on Duanesburg Ambulanceās setup, would improve transparency and give the town leverage when reports are late. The public hearing remains open until the Aug. 13 board meeting.
