• Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Farmingdale Crash, Police Say (patch.com) — A serious early-morning crash on Allen Boulevard in East Farmingdale left a 55-year-old motorcyclist from West Babylon hospitalized with significant injuries. Police say his motorcycle collided with a car exiting a parking lot, and both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact the Suffolk County First Squad.
   

• Malfunction temporarily traps guests on Adventureland ride (news12.com) — Guests at Adventureland in East Farmingdale were stuck up to 25 feet in the air Friday night when the Wave Twister ride malfunctioned, prompting a major response from the East Farmingdale Fire Department. Sixteen riders, mostly children, were safely brought down over several hours. Park officials say the ride will stay closed while the cause is investigated.
