• Hochul signs executive order creating data center moratorium 'up to one year' (timesunion.com) — East Fishkill residents should know the town has already enacted a three-year moratorium on large data centers, and now Gov. Hochul has ordered a statewide pause of up to one year while impacts are studied. The executive order differs from a tougher legislative bill but still halts many new high‑energy data centers, responding to local and statewide concerns about costs, environmental effects, and AI-driven growth.
