• 5 things to know this Thursday, October 1 (news10.com) — East Greenbush police are investigating a Wednesday night hit-and-run that left a 17-year-old pedestrian injured on Columbia Turnpike near Discovery Drive, a stretch many residents regularly travel. Authorities say the vehicle fled after the 7:21 p.m. crash and are working to identify the driver.
