• East Islip Students Take Science Class Into The Wild At Sunken Meadow (patch.com) — East Islip High School AP Environmental Science students recently left the classroom for hands-on fieldwork at Sunken Meadow State Park, studying the salt marsh's plants, animals, and role in protecting coastlines. Their teacher emphasized that exploring the ecosystem in person helps them better understand biodiversity, water quality, and wildlife habitat that affect coastal communities like East Islip.
• Long Island HS roundup: Soccer, badminton and field hockey scores (newsday.com) — East Islip boys soccer fans will be glad to know their team topped Northport 5–2 in Suffolk III play, with two goals each from Nick Frisina and Brennan Grieve. The wider roundup also highlights other Long Island high school soccer, badminton, and field hockey results from across Suffolk and Nassau counties.
