Police Release Additional Details On East Islip Hit-And-Run Crash
A 36-year-old man was injured after he was struck by a car while standing in his own driveway earlier this month.

EAST ISLIP, NY - Police released additional information on a hit-and-run crash that injured a man standing in his driveway in East Islip earlier this month.
A person driving a silver/gray 2005-2006 Nissan Altima eastbound on Union Boulevard struck a parked car, as well as 36-year-old Jorge Gomez-Botero who was standing near the car in front of his home, between 12:10 a.m. and 12:19 a.m. on January 10.
Gomez-Botero was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Altima fled the scene in the vehicle (pictured above), which sustained front end damage and a broken driver’s side mirror.
