Portion Of Historic Brookwood Hall Reopens

EAST ISLIP, NY - Residents can once again book events at the recently renovated portion of the 116-year-old Brookwood Hall in East Islip, according to a report in Newsday.

The historic mansion has been undergoing renovations in certain sections, including the front entrance and the ballroom.

Since reopening earlier this month, a bridal shower has already been booked in the newly renovated ballroom, Newsday reports.

"I feel as though we have been working really hard to improve this asset, and now finally it’s at a stage where our constituents can use it," Deirdre Wahlberg, deputy commissioner of parks, recreation and cultural affairs told Newsday.
