ISLIP TERRACE, NY — An Islip Terrace man who was charged as a sex offender for sending sexually explicit pictures to a 13-year-old boy in 2015 was arrested Thursday for failing to register four Internet accounts, police said.

Detectives searched a home at 55 Andrew Avenue after receiving a tip from the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Suffolk Police said. Investigators seized photo albums and electronic devices during the search and arrested Yobani Diaz, 40, who lived in the home.

Diaz, a Level 1 sex offender, was accused of failing to register two email accounts and two social media accounts, which is required because of his status as a registered sex offender, police said. He was charged with four counts for sex offender register registration violation. He was also charged for violating his parole. More charges are expected, police said.
