Construction on the 86-unit facility is expected to begin by late fall, bringing new housing options for local seniors who want to remain in East Northport and nearby communities.
   

• Mary Rose Bennis (scdemocratonline.com) — Family and friends in East Northport are among those mourning the passing of 91-year-old Mary Rose Bennis, a devoted nurse and lifelong Catholic originally from Brooklyn who died in Aldenville, Pennsylvania.
