Syosset Man Arrested After Dragging Woman Out Of East Norwich Restaurant: PD
The woman texted police officers a possible destination after he drove off with her in the car, police say.
EAST NORWICH, NY — A Syosset man was arrested after dragging a woman out of a restaurant in East Norwich on Friday night, police said.
Nassau County police said officers responded to the parking lot of Oyster Bay Road, where they learned about the disturbance that occurred at 10:45 p.m. Police said it was determined that a 25-year-old dragged a 30-year-old woman out of a restaurant and pinned her to the ground, police said. The woman broke free and ran back into the restaurant, attempting to call 911, police said.
He followed her, took her phone, and got back into his car, police said. The woman then entered his car to try and get her phone back, but the man drove off westbound on Northern Boulevard with the woman in his car, NCPD said.

The woman was able to text police officers a possible destination, police said.
After an investigation, New York City Police Department Highway One units were able to find the pair physically fighting on the side of the road in the Bronx, police said. Both of them had minor injuries, but did not want medical attention at the scene, NCPD said.

The man was placed under arrest and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree. criminal mischief, third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree criminal obstruction of breathing, and aggravated criminal contempt, police said. He was arraigned on Sunday in Hempstead, police said.
